We Are the Change We Seek

In 2007, only 37% of Santa Barbara's registered voters voted in a contested city council election. This year, the Democratic Party of Santa Barbara County is determined to increase turnout and encourage participation in our city's government by more of the people who live here.

Orientation will prepare neighborhood election leaders for a role in increasing turnout and supporting Democratic Party endorsed candidates in the Santa Barbara municipal elections.

The Party's neighborhood leaders will initiate a dialogue with Santa Barbara voters about our city and it's future, and how the change we struggled for and won on a national level applies to city government.
