It's Not Too Late!

Election Day for the Santa Barbara City Council election is quickly approaching and if you haven't mailed in your ballot yet, it's not too late but it soon will be! You should put your ballot in the mail no later than Friday, November 4th to ensure that it will be counted. Your ballot must be at City Hall, or drop-off center, by 8pm on Tuesday, November 8th to be counted. Postmarks do NOT count. Almost 300 ballots arrived after Election Day in 2009 and nearly 200 of them were from Democrats. Don't let this happen to you.

You can also hand in your ballot at City Hall Monday-Friday from 7:30am-5:30pm or take it to the nearest drop-off center on Saturday, November 5th between 8am and 5pm or Tuesday, November 8th between 7am and 8pm. Drop-off centers are listed at the bottom of this message. Please vote as soon as possible and make sure that all of your friends, family and co-workers also vote to support our endorsed candidates: Iya Falcone, Deborah Schwartz, and Cathy Murillo.

If you've already voted, help get out the vote for our candidates by informing other Democratic voters about the importance of this election! We will be taking this Monday, Halloween, off to give voters and our amazing volunteers a chance to celebrate the holiday but we will be back in full swing Tuesday, November 1st for the final week!

MISSION

As Santa Barbara Democrats, we believe in a society and community based on solidarity and sustainability. We believe, quite simply that our country does better when everyone does better, and that we need to live in harmony with our environment. Our aim is to empower, educate and organize citizens and residents of Santa Barbara County. First and foremost, this means mobilizing voters to get to the polls and elect Democrats at all levels of government. We also hold elected officials accountable to the values and principles of our Democratic party, through public advocacy, coalition work, as well as through our endorsement process, which asks candidates seeking our support to pledge to put our shared values into practice.
